"Do not take life too seriously. You will never get out of it alive."
1) This quote is true, since everyone dies in the end.  People often get stressed out over something small. You only have one life to live, so it's no use getting stresses out over a small thing, just get over it. This quote means that you shouldn't get really stressed out over something, because after all everyone dies sometime.

2) Live your life to the fullest, because you've only got one life to live, so be free and live your life. Don't go getting stressed out over a little project you need to do, if its not that big.

3) This picture goes with the quote, because the baby was just born, and the old man lived a long life. It shows that the young baby is going to live a long life just like the old man had done. The old man seems to be teaching the baby, preparing him for his long  journey.

"Armpit's economics teacher once told the class about a donkey standing exactly halfway between two identical haystacks. Since it had no reason to choose one haystack over the other, it just stayed in the middle until it died of hunger."
-Small Steps (sequel to Holes)
1) This quote is important to me, because it explains how you need to make a decision; instead of indecision. The donkey died of hunger, because it didn't want to choose, which lead to it's death- though the decision wasn't complicated. The donkey just decided not to choose one.
2) This quotation is about indecision. The donkey had no reason to choose one haystack over the other one, since they were the same and he was the same distance from both haystacks. He didn't want to choose, and since he didn't choose one, he stayed there for the rest of his short life, not choosing one, with no food. Because of not deciding this simple decision, he died of hunger, because of one small simple choice he decided not to make.
3) I think this picture goes with the quotation, because it describes the donkey between two haystacks, not deciding which one to go to. The donkey didn't want to choose, and deciding not to choose lead to his death; so you need to make a decision or something much worse can happen. The choice was simple, so the donkey could have lived.
